Power Plants

This is where the electricity we use everyday comes from. Notice the biggest portion of this pie chart is electricity from using natrural gas, a big 43.8% of all energy produced. In comparison, all renewable energies, wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal, make up about the same amount put together, 43.5%.

Power plants work by heating water using certain resources, such as fossil fuels, nuclear power, or geothermal power to create steam. Under extreme pressure, this steam is able to spin turbines to create electricity that can be moved and stored.
